Christopher J. LeBrun, M.D.

Dr. LeBrun earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree at The Tulane School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center and completed his Nephrology fellowship at Walter Reed Medical Center.

 

Dr. LeBrun also served as Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was awarded the Department of Medicine Teacher of the Year in two of the four years he was a Staff Nephrologist at Madigan Army Nephrology Associates Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Dr. LeBrun was a staff Nephrologist for three years at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi where he served as the Nephrology Fellowship program director. While there, Dr. LeBrun was awarded Department of Medicine Teacher of the Year in 2005.

•  In 2006, Dr. LeBrun won the Quality Champion Award for physicians at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Golden Triangle.

•  Active in several research studies and with published works on acute renal failure and chronic dialysis

•  Member of American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology

•  Currently serves on the Critical Care Committee at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle.

After leaving the military, Dr. LeBrun became a staff Nephrologist at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi where he served as the Nephrology Fellowship program director.  While there, Dr. LeBrun was awarded the Department of Medicine Teacher of the year in 2005. In July 2005, Dr. LeBrun joined Dr. Dunn at Nephrology Associates in Columbus, MS.  

 

Dr. LeBrun is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of various medical societies and currently serves as Assistant Chief of Medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden. Triangle.
